PTA Grant Funding

The Hunters Creek PTA is excited to provide funding for the HCE Community through our Grant Program based on the historical success of our fundraising campaigns.

Who can apply for a PTA Grant? Any teacher, staff member, parent or community member who is a current member of the Hunters Creek PTA may apply.

When do I apply? Applications are due two weeks before each scheduled PTA General Meeting, to allow the Grant Committee and PTA Executive Board enough time to evaluate the request.  Applications submitted after each deadline will be evaluated for the following General Meeting. Grants will be considered at the Executive Board meeting following the deadline, and voted on for approval at the next General PTA Meeting.  Please see our PTA Calendar for the schedule of meetings.

How do I apply? In order to apply for grant funds, you must complete the Grant Request Form (link below). 

How may the funds be used?  The goal of grant funding is to enhance the school's priorities of academic achievement and social/emotional development and benefiting as many students as possible.  Approved grants should be spent within the school year in which they are intended.

A few key details:

• Funds awarded should be spent in the school year for which it was intended and ONLY on the approved item/program which was originally approved in the grant request. Any remaining funds not spent (because of a discount or overestimating the cost) will roll back into Grant Funds Available.
• All grant requests are reviewed by the principal for continuity and so that all resources are considered in the approval process. Vendors may be SBISD approved or outside vendors. Please check with more than one source to compare costs.
