Who can join PTA?

Anyone can! And everyone should, including parents (mom and dad should both join, step parents too!), teachers, staff, grandparents and community members.

How much does it cost to join?

A Single PTA Membership costs $15 ($3.25 goes to the National PTA, $2.25 goes to the Texas PTA and the remaining $9.50 stays at HCE as stated in our bylaws).  A Family PTA Membership is $20.  Faculty memberships are $10. Lifetime members pay $5.  Extended family PTA memberships are $25 (one family and one relative). Members also get one free HCE student directory per family!

What is a lifetime membership?

Lifetime memberships are awarded to PTA members who have made significant volunteer contributions to the PTA. They cannot be purchased. Once awarded, lifetime members pay reduced annual membership fees for life.

Do I get anything for joining?

Yes! You will receive a PTA card that gives you access to member resources and discounted benefits on the Texas PTA and National PTA Websites. And our school and kids will benefit from your membership even more!

Do I have to volunteer a lot?

There are no volunteer requirements for joining the PTA. But if you’re interested in volunteering your time or skills, we’d love to have you!

What if I don’t join?

You will not be eligible to vote at PTA meetings, and you will miss out on connecting with the Hunters Creek community. Research shows that children whose parents get involved generally do better academically and socially in school. Do it for the kids!
