Graduation Week: Schedule of Events

Tuesday, May 27 – Car Parade 1:00-3:00PM

The 5th graders will pile into decorated parent-driven cars and parade through the neighborhood! Parents, grandparents, friends, and community residents are encouraged to cheer on the graduates. 5th grade teachers will assign students to specific vehicles. 

Tuesday, May 27 – Color Run 1:00-3:00 PM

An HCE tradition! All of the 5th graders will gather outside on the fields and be pelted with paint powder from their fellow HCE classmates! The fun will conclude with a snow cone and DJ party outside underneath the covered area.

Wednesday, May 28 – Talent Show 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM

A fan favorite! In addition to the individual talent show skits, songs, and dances, the entire 5th grade will be invited to help close out their last Talent Show in style!

Wednesday, May 28 – 5th Grade Graduation Party at the Roller Rink 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM

All students will go together on buses, like a field trip, to a fun party at the Dairy Ashford Roller Rink. Pizza will be provided. The buses will leave school about 11am and return by 2:30pm so students may go home their regular way. Teachers will be sending permission slips later in the semester.

Thursday, May 29 – Graduation Ceremony 8:30 AM 

The week will culminate with the Graduation Ceremony, currently scheduled for 8:30 am on Thursday. The students will gather for a fun breakfast before they don their green graduation robes, and parents will be allowed to secure their seats before the students file into the auditorium. After the ceremony, parents will have a chance to take photos and congratulate the graduating class!

Thursday, May 29 - Optional Celebratory Brunch at the Federal American Grill 

The Federal American Grill has generously opened up their doors early for the 5th grade graduates and families to enjoy a celebratory brunch, immediately following the graduation ceremony (around 9:30/10 AM). This is an optional brunch for those that would like to come. $30 per person, 8731 Katy Frwy.
